Starting in 1987 we brought together a small team of executives who had previously worked for larger companies in production, marketing, finance, and general management.

This team also had experience in company doctoring, business sales, mergers and acquisitions with public listed companies and large private companies, across a wide range of industrial and service enterprises.
No business broker or accounting firm in Australia offered the scope and depth of practical business sales experience which Jamieson brought to advising the proprietors of medium sized private businesses.

Our team also has hands-on experience as consultants to, as well as owners and managers of, trading businesses. This provides highly practical knowledge to draw upon in advising clients in relation to sales, mergers, acquisitions and valuations.

Jamieson is selective in the business sales, mergers and acquisition projects it accepts and aims to work on a small number of substantial projects at any time.

This selectivity allows us to provide a depth of analysis and quality of presentation of information for business sales, mergers and acquisitions superior to other business brokers and accounting firms covering the same areas of the market. Feedback from business buyers confirms the high standard of information presentation we seek to provide is achieved in all assignments.

It also allows a concentration of high-level professional skills on each project so that successful business sales are achieved in an agreed time frame. Jamieson consults with its client throughout the business sale or acquisition process to ensure continuous communication of the status of each project.

Jamieson is frequently asked to provide business valuations as an initial step in the process before owners decide whether to sell a business. Buyers also like us to advise on fair market values before committing to an acquisition under consideration.

Each active principal is licensed as a business broker and operates under the auspices of the NSW Department of Fair Trading. Jamieson is also a member of the Real Estate Institute of NSW and the Australian Institute of Business Brokers.
